What's the purpose of friendness?
The purpose of friendness is to put in touch a small group of people.
In the chat you will find other people that, just like you, want to go out with new friends. You can then plan where and when to meet: it's as easy as it looks!
How many people can there be in a group and why?
Group sizes can range from a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 5 people, enough not to get bored but at the same time not too many people, so that it's easier to talk and to get to know each other.
How long does it take to create a group?
Upon selecting your location and the things you would like to do, a request will remain active indefinitely, until you cancel it or a group is created.
The search usually takes only a few seconds, but it might take up to several days in case no matching people are immediately available in your area.
Once a group is created, more people can be added to it in the following 2 hours, up to a maximum of 5 people.
How long does a group last after its creation?
A group never expires, but you can leave it anytime.
What happens when I leave a group?
Once you have left a group you won't receive further messages nor notifications from it, and it won't be shown anywhere anymore.
The other participants will still be able to see you (grayed out) and give you good or bad karma, but they won't be able to interact with you.
What happens when I archive or restore a group?
When you archive a group you are just moving it to the archive page. Conversely, when you restore a group you are just moving it back to the main page.
If you don't want to receive further messages or notifications from a group you can mute it or leave it entirely.
Will new people, added to the group after me, be able to read what we wrote in the chat?
Yes, users added to a group have access to its full chat history, so you don't need to restart planning all over again!
How do I stop a search after I have started it?
Upon starting a search you'll find a "Cancel" button at the bottom of the page. If you have already been matched with somebody, you may leave the group.
Why can't I find new people?
friendness has just debuted. We are growing but we are still young, so it's possible that during the first days there won't be many people around.
You can help us by spreading the word!
Depending on what do you match people?
People matching takes into account their location, their age and their spoken languages.
Additional personal informations, if provided, will prioritize certain matches (i.e., when people share similar interests).
How does karma work?
Karma is the result of the feedbacks that each user can express on other users in a group.
Bad karma should be given only when a user is misusing the app, annoying other people.
Karma does not indicate whether a user is pleasant or not, but it helps the community understand if a user is reliable.
For any objectionable or illegal behaviour you can report users directly and/or block them entirely.

I tried the app along with a friend of mine but we weren't matched. Why?
The app matches people taking into account not only their location but also their age and their spoken languages.
Three people who belong to different generations or do not share a common language will not be matched.
